Parati and Curitiba

nice little towns

rain -24 °C

So, we had just arrived at Parati when it started to rain, and I guess that's when rain season started...
we have had rain every day up until now, but not the kind of Belgian rain... one moment everything is peaceful and sunny, when in a few minutes' time huge clouds come our way, followed by big storms, thunder and lightning, with nevertheless a temperature that stays really high, and then it passes and the sun comes back, so now we know why they call this the rain forest!
Parati is a nice little colonial town, but not much to do, a time to relax. We visited a beautiful hippie beach however, Trinidade, with a natural swimming pool next to it. The next day we went to some strange waterfalls, where you can slide down, some on there feet, like they are skating, we didn't got that far ;)
Then we did a 10 hour busride to Curitiba, which is a nice student city, quite western actually, it reminds of a town in Spain, where all the young people gather in the streets at night to get drunk and sing songs...
Tonight we are taking the night bus to the Iguazu falls, amazing waterfalls, we are looking forward to it!
bye bye
